Nutmeg Coated Creamy Toasts

The current state of the world is alarming. Amidst all the scare, sadness and uncertainty we haven’t given up on hope. The hope for a better tomorrow, the hope for a safer tomorrow. While everyone is doing their bit to stay strong, stay safe, I am trying to lift up your mood by sharing a quick and easy recipe of munchies that you might need between Home-Work.

Here’s a quick recipe of Creamy Toasts which is super easy to make and even more fun to bite into.

For all those who love French Toasts, this is an upgrade.

Nutmeg Coated Creamy Toasts

  • Serves: 1    Prep time: 30 minutes             Cooking time: 10 minutes

Here’s what you will be needing:

  • Bread loaves cut into squares – 6 pcs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 milk
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground nutmeg powder
  • 100gms curd/yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Here’s what you need to do:

In a bowl beat in 2 eggs followed by curd. Add milk, honey and some salt in case things get too sweet. Add the nutmeg powder and beat in until the mixture is composed and gets a light fluff.

Soak the pieces of the bread in the mixture. Make sure it’s completely soaked. Leave it for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes heat a pan (I use a grill pan), add a dollop of butter/lite and fry them untill golden brown.
