Turning 90: Flurys

What started with a Swiss Tea Room in the heart of the British capital of India in the year 1927 is synonymous with the culture of this city today. From city dwellers to travelers Flurys has gained quite a name and nostalgia for itself in its ninety year of existence.
Originally started by a Swiss couple Mr and Mrs. Flury and later taken over by the Apeejay Surrendra Group this iconic tea room is a heritage, leading the confectionary scenario in this city for the past five generations.

Growth and evolution are two terms synonymous or rather complementary to each other. The evolution to meet the mindsets of every generation has also caused for a strategic expansion of  Flurys. Starting from a single outlet the bakery today holds 22 outlets across the country with one outlet each in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

As the Confectionery celebrates 90th Jubilee this year, over the next 9 months it intends to  stick to its key maxim of spreading joy across the city with merry surprises and special offers every month. They intend to make their loyalists a part of this revelry by hosting social media contests.

The 90th year celebration of Flurys saw a wide spread of delicacies from savory to desserts put together by the executive chef making the evening a memorable one for the guests.
