Who doesn’t crave some chocolaty, gooey, creamy, icy madness?? We do.
Everyone holds a soft spot for sinful truffle cakes and bittersweet chocolate milkshakes (yes, they can do a diet damage but hey! You have the rest of the week to live healthy). Both of them have the chocolate quotient pretty high.
To indulge oneself more into the sin named CHOCOLATE we bring to you the perfect buster to any stress situation,THE MIDNIGHT CAKE SHAKE. A perfect combination of bittersweet  milkshake and blissfully chocolatey cake, blended together in a processor and served with a piece of truffle cake. In case you are wondering why MIDNIGHT?it is due to overuse of rich dark chocolate making it as sinful as it could be.
Kelis wasn’t kidding when she sang “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard”.

Ensue the recipe written below to acquire a colossal sugar rush!

THE MIDNIGHT CAKE SHAKE.

PREP TIME: 20  minutes   COOK TIME: 25 minutes         Serves 4-6


HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

For the cake:
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 melted white butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 For the shake:
3/4 
cups milk
3 scoops of chocolate ice-cream
1/2 cup melted chocolate ( or chopped chocolate)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup icing sugar
6 oreo biscuits

For ganache:
1/4 cup bittersweet compound chocolate
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

PART 1
Begin with baking the cake.
Whisk the sifted flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl until combined.

In a large bowl, beat eggs and vanilla, vegetable oil and butter until smooth.

Gradually add the dry mixture to the eggs and fold in till it gets a glossy and smooth texture.The batter will be thin.

Fold in the mixture until smooth and glossy.

Preheat the oven to 325°. Grease a thick baking pan of your choice and transfer the batter to it.Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

PART 2
Divide the freshly baked cake into 4 pig pieces.  In a bowl crumble two pieces of cake by rubbing them against each other into  finer grains.Break the oreo biscuits into smaller pieces.

In a blender combine milk, ice-cream,crumbled cake and oreo biscuits,chocolate, whipping cream and icing sugar.Blend until smooth and thick. Pour it out into a glass.
For ganache, place chocolate in a small bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Pour over chocolate; whisk until smooth. Cool, stirring occasionally, until ganache reaches a spreading consistency. Place a  long piece of cake on a plate and spread the ganache over the top.
Top the shake with the piece of the cake and serve it with a wafer stick.
